Has anyone got Netbsd 3.1 installed on a Dell poweredge 1950 it uses SAS
drives... I am unable to see the HDD with the generic build.

NetBSD doesn't support the SAS controller yet, even in -current.

Do you have hardware RAID or not (in other words, do you have the PERC 5/i or
SAS 5/i controller)?

If you have the PERC 5/i, get the latest 3.1_STABLE or 4.0_BETA2 (or current)
and you'll have the mfi driver (and bnx for the network interface).
